In a clear sign that the exercise-bike craze isn’t going away anytime soon, actress Blake Lively has ditched traditional spinning for an immersive package that lets her sweat it out on the Peloton Cycles stationary bike.
The recent wrap of her new film, the Netflix movie “God’s Pocket,” inspired Lively to switch up her exercise routine and experiment with new ways to release her energy.
Ryan Reynolds, Lively’s husband and actor, saw the commercial and thought, “Why not do it ourselves?” So Lively asked Reynolds to join her on the a special feature.
The pair rode for “quite a while,” says Lively. “We both really struggled and that was very fun for us to shoot.”
The blockbuster actor has been a fan of Peloton bikes since the company launched, “when everyone else was like, ‘How the hell can I afford a mountain bike?’”
But fans shouldn’t get used to seeing the famous pair together. “It was so fun, it really was. It was so super sweet and sweet to see him doing his thing,” says Lively. “But no, we’re not going to keep this up, it is what it is.”
The two then talked about what happened next.
“I said to him, ‘What happened? We should do this again,’” says Lively. “He said, ‘Yeah, that was so fun.’ And I was like, ‘You know, thanks, bro! It was definitely worth it! You went through the motions.”
