West Ham United played Burnley at Turf Moor on September 23, 2017.

In all honesty I thought West Ham City deserved to win and deserved the equalizer. We also thought it was a soft decision for the penalty decision. Burnley are struggling this season and deserved a point because it was a poor result. A point just wasn’t good enough for us and it was a bit disappointing because we came so close to winning.

In terms of setting this up — at the start of the season nobody in the world would have thought it would be the same West Ham away team but sometimes that’s what football’s about. We dropped off a little bit in terms of our intensity at the end but that’s part of the game.

I thought we were a lot stronger and I thought we were a lot more accurate going forward but I don’t think we deserved to win the game.

Back home at the London Stadium it’s a big game against Tottenham. They are still working on getting their way in terms of buying a striker who can have a goalscoring influence for them. They played against Man City at the weekend and it wasn’t as fluent or as fluid as we like to see as a West Ham side but they did well.

We all know what we’re capable of. We’ve only played one full 90 minutes for some strange reason for the whole season but I just hope that we can put in a good 90 minutes.

Then I look at another game, we have Leicester away who we got some good results against last season as well so we always know it’s never easy going to Leicester. We always have a tough game against Leicester.

Speaking of Leicester, I’ve been impressed with their signings so far but maybe there’s only one or two that make the difference. I think that it’s too early to decide what they’ve got in terms of players.

I wouldn’t rule them out of making the play-offs but I don’t think they’re going to go all the way in the end. They have an unlucky season at home because they don’t have the kind of defence that you need to win the title. They’re not terribly strong at home — that makes things difficult for them.
