France passes law giving greater police powers on refugees entering the country without documentation

UPDATE: Organized crime and terrorism are no longer factors in considering whether there are grounds to ban foreign refugees from entering France after the French parliament passed the law making it an offence to come to the country without proper documentation.

The law passed by 331 votes in favour to 233 against with three abstentions.

The French government announced on Sunday the completion of 400 investigations in the area of identity papers handed out by aid agencies affiliated with France’s main humanitarian group, Doctors Without Borders.

LONDON (AP) — In the face of concerns about possible infiltration of France’s opposition by Islamic terrorists, the government has started opening hundreds of investigations into fraudulent foreign aid pass-holders.

France’s National Health Service is joining other emergency services to stop any extra person they suspect might have genuine blue ID cards but a false identity instead.

The new law prohibits the providing of any health services for anyone who, by existing nationality or official residence permit, is not supposed to be using France’s health service.
